CIRCLE OF PHARMACY CARE: ADHERE
Parata onePAC Packaging: Convenience, Adherence

Traditionally, pharmacists have had little ability to impact patient adherence to their medications after they leave the store.

Parata onePAC sends your care and attention home with patients. Each customized unit- or multi-dose package is prepared by the pharmacy, verified by the pharmacist and custom-printed to tell the patient exactly what she is taking and when to take it.

It's an appealing option for the more than half of Americans who take two or more medications a day, including OTCs, with special appeal for:
Caregivers who want to ensure their care recipients adhere to their medication regimens
Parents whose children need to take medications when they are away at school or camp
Travelers seeking an easier way to take medications on the road

onePAC Packaging: A Visible Improvement

onePAC are transparent on one side so medications are visible, and white on the other so custom-printed details are easy to read, including:
A. Patient name
B. Time of administration
C. Medication names, strengths, and pill descriptions.
Patients receive a strip of onePAC packages, each perforated so every dose can be easily removed, opened and administered in order.

Fast Facts

Size and Capacity    onePAC packaging is generated by Parata PACMED, which comes in three models, depending on whether a pharmacy plans to offer onePAC only to retail or begin/transition service to long-term care.

Speed    Parata PACMED generates 60 unit-dose or 50 multi-dose packages a minute, much less labor intensive than legacy packaging or home med-pack programs.

Software Integration    Parata's proprietary Server Plus software facilitates fast and flexible management of compliance packaging activities and interfaces to many pharmacy management systems.

Training and Support    On-site training speeds start-up and minimizes downtime; world-class support helps ensure peak performance.
